Jennifer Bove

Jennifer started her design career at the circus—quite literally—at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. In the 15 years since then, she's been dedicated to making better products, processes and services for a variety of clients including Panasonic, Nokia, the BBC, Gucci and American Express. Her design and management work includes the Prada Epicenter store in New York–a groundbreaking experiment in luxury retail–and Yahoo Go!, an early benchmark in the industry for bringing web content to the mobile phone. Before Kicker, Jenn was VP of User Experience at HUGE and at Schematic She sits on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts’ Masters in Interaction Design, has been a visiting lecturer at NYU's ITP, and is an active member of the design community, including co-chairing the inaugural Interaction Awards. Jenn's writing has appeared in How Magazine, Fast Company and Creativity Online. Her work has been exhibited throughout Europe, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Jennifer has a Masters in Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. She also has a new puppy.

Jody Medich

In her 15 year career as a visual and sensory designer, Jody has created strategy driven projects including advertising, mobile, consumer products, and applications for over 300 companies. Most notably, she was the Global Design Director for Cadillac.com, Creative Director at Yahoo!, and a member of the interactive team at TBWA/chiat/day/tequila in Los Angeles. Some of her past clients include: National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, Sony, Get Statisfaction, Playstation, Masterfoods, Nissan/Infiniti, Adaptive Path, and StubHub.

Jody is also a practicing artist. She has an MFA in Painting and Design & Technology from the San Francisco Art Institute, is represented by Mercury20 Gallery in Oakland, CA, and works with the art crew FiveTonCrane. She is a painter and builds robots and rockets in her spare time.

Tom Maiorana


Tom is a visual, interaction and product designer who has been working in the interactive realm for over fifteen years. He regularly acts as a design consultant to a range of domestic and international organizations. He is currently a Principal Interaction Designer and Innovation Catalyst at Intuit. He is also a Guest Lecturer at the d.school.

Dan Saffer


Dan has designed devices, software, websites, and services since 1995, and these products are currently used by millions every day. An acclaimed speaker and author, his best-selling book Designing for Interaction: Designing Innovative Applications and Devices (New Riders) has been called "a bookshelf must-have for anyone thinking of creating new designs." His book, Designing Gestural Interfaces (O'Reilly), was called "an essential reference work for anyone looking to advance human-technology interactions beyond dials, knobs, keyboards, and mice." His design innovations have received several patents.

Mike Scully


Mike is an industrial designer, engineer and project manager at his own firm, Scully Design. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master's degree in Industrial Design, both from North Carolina State.
