Nice post. It would be nice to be at CES to see the designs. Perhaps we just need to see ID being more innovative with materials, there are a lot more materials and types of materials than black PP. Perhaps it would be interesting to do a study of making Tech out of new materials creating new forms. I think schemes like http://www.iom3.org/made will help designers work smarter. But It would nice to see some nice form concepts from Iders.

I like apples ID, but don’t think they are helping change the idea of a laptop.
